GRANTS

The Main Street Community Foundation of Connecticut welcomes grant requests from organizations that serve our geographic area, which includes Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington and Wolcott. The Foundation's grants are presently made in the fields of community outreach, arts/culture, education, health, human services and the environment. Our current grant deadlines are March 31st and September 30th of each year.

The Women & Girls Fund is available to organizations that serve females in the towns of Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington and Wolcott. The deadline for grant applications is September 30, 2008.

New in 2008 is the Plainville Community Fund which is available to organizations that serve Plainville residents. Deadline for grant applications for the Plainville Community Fund is March 15th, 2008.

Interested organizations are asked to contact Jarre Betts, Program Director before applying to discuss the proposal and process. Materials needed for the grant application process are available for download from this site.

SCHOLARSHIPS

A list of scholarships is also available to individuals pursuing educational opportunities in a variety of areas and at different stages of their academic career. The 2008 scholarship deadline is Friday, March 28, 2008 for most scholarships but there are a few exceptions so please check the requirements of the scholarship that you are applying for. The majority of the scholarships use our common application form but there are some that have a different application and those are listed individually on our download forms page.
